Voices in my headWed, 28th Nov '07, 11:15 am::

Usually within the first 4-6 hours of every single day, I get songs and phrases stuck in my head. I keep repeating these phrases over and over, almost chanting subconsciously. I hate it. I am absolutely sick of it but I don't know what I can do to avoid it. It's always something short and not too annoying by itself but constant repetition makes it unbearable.

Today's phrase-stuck-in-my-head is "to shreds you say" from a Futurama episode:

[the Professor is on the phone]
Professor Hubert Farnsworth: Oh how awful. Did he at least die peacefully?
    [pause]
Professor Hubert Farnsworth: To shreds you say, tsk tsk tsk. Well, how's his wife holding up?
    [pause]
Professor Hubert Farnsworth: To shreds you say.

Normally things get unstuck after noon regardless of when I have lunch or if I have breakfast. I don't know why this happens but it gets on my nerves.
