Have You Ever
-
Have you ever wanted to talk,
But no one was there to hear you...
Have you ever dared to walk,
When the Earth was melting below you...
Have you ever crossed a lane,
And wondered, what if you never had...
Have you ever tried to be sane,
Though you want to be really mad...
Have you ever been afraid to dream,
Lest it might never come true...
Have you ever stifled a scream,
And later regretted, why did you...
Have you ever found happiness,
And realised it only when it was gone...
Have you ever hated sadness,
Yet in the womb of hatred, love was born...
Have you ever risked all that you are,
In that last attempt, one final chance...
Have you ever agreed to let yourself scar,
If you could once more hold, those caring hands...
Have you ever felt guilty or regretted,
Merely for who you are, what you do...
Have you ever kept your love arrested,
Because you were afraid to say 'I love you...'
