I saw you for, but a moment,
Embossed in memory, that fleeting glance.
I ran, I staggered, I fell.
Wanted, I; One breath of chance.
I saw you, mere moments longer,
Your pearly smile, as I slept.
You knew, you understood, you felt.
Wanted, I; One cry of depth.
I saw you, a minute was it?
You seeped through, my porous soul.
I longed, I cherished, I held.
Wanted, I; One devoid of whole.
I saw you, hours lasting a moment,
Exiled, my mind; oblivious, your presence.
I gasped, I breathed, I choked.
Wanted, I; One infinity of distance.
