After looking at the group photo of Kernel Summit 2007, I realized something. I miss my beard. More than a few people have told me recently that I have started to look older. I'll be 27 within a month and contrary to what I would have thought just a few years ago, it doesn't bother me at all. I'm even looking forward to turning 30. Having run a marathon distance on my kayak yesterday (26.2 miles), I know that I am stronger and more physically fit today than I ever was. As long as I keep doing my outdoors activities, I'll be good. I went to a sports bar last weekend with Heather and Catherine and I felt out of place. My place is on the water, who knows, may be sporting a beard again :)
